When I was a teenager I was obsessed with Comic Books, and one comic in particular that had a huge impact on me was Dave Sim's Cerebus.
This interview is a segment from the Masters of Comic Book Art video that I must have watched hundreds of times throughout my high school years. I found Dave's approach to the creation of his art, and the control that he maintained in its distribution, to be completely inspirational from a very early age.
Unfortunately the amazing body of work that he has produced seems to be all too easily dismissed by many in recent years, not because of the inherent quality of the work itself, but instead because of controversies that surround the man who produced it.
This is a real tragedy, and I would suggest that anyone who truly loves great storytelling should really check out his work for themselves.
