The Mighty Heroes The Junker
The Mighty Heroes were created by Ralph Bakshi. He is better than you.
Way back a hundred years ago before cable TV offered us a thousand channels that all play the same few shows endlessly... there was a better way.
That way was called UHF.
I spent many a happy afternoon watching channel 56 while I was growing up. Everyday they would play a block of Mighty Mouse cartoons, and if you were lucky... sandwiched somewhere in the middle you occasionally got to see something special... something like the Mighty Heroes!
I loved the Mighty Heroes. I still love the Mighty Heroes.
I would make Rope Man figures out of garbage ties, I would build Cuckoo Clocks out of construction paper, birds would sing and poor people became wealthy. Life was better, and it was in no small part thanks to the Mighty Heroes.
As you grow up you begin to accept the fact that everything that you ever loved as a child was crap, after all, what the hell did you know? You were just a child! But this is not the case with The Mighty Heroes.
