Tullycraft Wild Bikini
Wild Bikini appears on Tullycrafts third full length album "Beat, Surf, Fun". I am in love with every girl in this video.
Tullycraft are an unabashedly Pop music group hailing from Seattle Washington, and this song, Wild Bikini , is a perfect illustration of the type of aggressively catchy songwriting that they are most well known for.
I was first exposed to them back in the 90's through a compilation that featured the single "Pop songs your Boyfriend's too stupid to know about". Like Wild Bikini , that song was also ridiculously catchy, and had a charm that made it completely unique, and stand out immediately.
For awhile it seemed that Tullycraft was on every compilation, and often they were doubled up with Sean Toffelson’s side project "Six Cents and Natalie", so they quickly became a personal favorite thanks to both the quality and quantity of their work.
After years of waiting I finally had the opportunity to see them play live recently and I'm happy to say that it was an amazing show! They really are one of those rare bands that have consistently gotten better with each new album.
So far, I'm inclined to think that their best album to date is "Disenchanted Hearts Unite" which seems to branch out a bit lyrically, while still delivering all of the charm and visceral power that defines them.
